Leicestershire DA Easter
Post meet: Despite the constant rain and bad weather forecast, Leicestershire DA held their Easter Meet at Normanton on Soar. They had a fun packed weekend for both the children and adults.
The craft sessions were well attended:

The weekend ended with a very friendly farmer towing all units from the field. There was a friendly gathering of people awaiting the arrival of the tractor with lots of banter and useful conversations.
It was a great relief to see the first caravan towed off the field to the safety of the car park.
CENTRAL COUNTIES REGIONAL MEET
was held from Thursday 14th to Sunday 17th June 2018 at
Camper UK Leisure Park, Swinthorpe, Lincs and hosted by
South Lincs DA.

The Cadac Cook Off
The Regional section of the Cadac Cook Off took part with 5 contestants and was won by Phil Henson with his homemade Beef Burger with an orange and whiskey glaze served in a toasted bun with Stilton cheese and a side of stuffed mushroom. Phil will now represent the Region at the Cadac Cook Off finals to be held at the National Feast of Lanterns.

The contestants had half an hour to cook their chosen dish.
The judges, Liz Stringfellow, Jeanette Fell and Jean Brown oversaw the proceedings.
And tasted each entry.
The winner, Phil Henson was announced and he was awarded his prize of a Cadac Gas BBQ by Dave Sewell, PRO for the Region and organiser of the Regional Cook Off.

This weekend we will be holding our Charity Fayre on Saturday 25th, followed
by the auction of vegetables and other items.
In the evening we will be holding our Feast of Lanterns when you can light up your
unit following the theme of “Westerns”.

NATIONAL FEAST OF LANTERNS
Join Central Counties Region at this years NFOL. This year the event is being hosted by North West Region in the beautiful grounds of Arley Hall, Cheshire over August Bank Holiday weekend, from 23rd to 27th August. Looks like there will be a full program of entertainment with a few firsts promised. The theme for this year is ‘Science Fiction’.
